A Soulful House

I so want to thank you my dear
..for the warmth and strength
You endowed all this while that we were here

Helping me bear through the transition
..a biggest one ever
While I also learnt time-keeping close-to-precision

The smiles my girls got me after they came back playing
..all tired, in sweat
Made me feel that this is the best place I am staying

The lovely papaya fruit I ate from your garden
..incomparably sweet
The accomplishment I achieved from the organic pit and waste segregation

I was actually practicing what I had learnt at work…

The fresh air on the roof-top
..that we breathed over a cup of tea, late night
Was like a dream come true, marking my existence worth while

The walls you offered as canvas to my kids
..the garden walls climbed over time and again

The coziness inside when it rained cats and dogs
..the nature we enjoyed at home including small snakes and frogs

Makes me sure of the life in you
….A soulful house I therefore call you.
